Did some skillbar tweaking when I was in a PUG with a good friend of mine. Now, if you're pretty confident about your Hero/Hench Monk bars, or you're in a PUG with some good Monks, you have a tad more freedom due to the dropping of Flesh/Flesh. I also loosened up on Master of Whisper's bar.

Changed the pic in the OP, to show off my new SEXY LIBRARIAN GLASSES and my Droknar's Spawning Staff. Not as obvious is the 20/20 Death Wand and the Armind's Focus in the second weapon slot. We switch between these often, depending on what we're casting.

Tweaked Zhed's skill bar around, and now Zhed has his own Hero section in the OP! Essentially, he can spread more Burning, Hexes with Mark of Rodgort and Incindiary Bonds, and Searing Flames for damage. Necrosis has never been so target-happy!

Apologies to all for the lack of the latter quarter of the Opening Post, this is the result of a bug. It has been reported, and I am seeking a PM regarding a good solution as soon as I wake up the next morning. Possibly afternoon, I was edit-fishing until 3AM.

PS: Don't ask about the bug, it's wierd and unique.

... ... I'm sorry, but you realize Anet just completely nerfed Spirit Spamming in PVE now, right? Here we were, trying to "Redefining the Rit Design 1&2," and they slap us with a HP nerf to offset Spawning Power, compound that with a Burning vulnerability, and yet have the gall to go "We hope noone is gonna go 8 Searing Flames Ele." Um, Go Red Engine and all that. (To this day I suspect that filter is a parody of the WAAAHmbulance.)

On the other hand, they finally fixed the Putrid Bile bug that didn't turn bars purple, and on the offensive side, longer burn durations mean more degen and longer windows to cast the other spells in the Ele Hero bar. The nerfbat skipped entirely over the minion bomber. Oh, true, there was no Jagged Bones buff, but we hardly expected better. I mean, who complains about an MM in PVP anyways? Just spike him to death. Therefore, that meta was ignored.

With the increased emphasis on split tactics and continued nerfbats, why don't they just homogenize all the classes, remove all the skills in the game except for 8, and call it a day? Oh, wait. Those are called Holiday PVP arenas. LOLcakes.

It's mentioned in the OP as suggestions, but I went with all Radiant Insignia, Sup Spawning, Sup Vigor, Minor Resto, and 2 Attunements. All together, that's +12 Energy, almost enough for another Animate.

Resist the temptation to go for Blessed, which gives +10 Armor for being under Enchantments, because if you're casting enough Animates, they should never get past your screen of Minions. Ditto for Survivor, a measly 40 Health, especially when you can just Taste of Death for 340.

For PVP, sure. Otherwise, speccing into Blood is just another Attribute Line that you really can't afford. Dark Bond only has one use: passive damage mitigation. Taste of Death is both an active heal AND a Big Red Button. Besides, you're a midline caster with a max of 18 minions between you and them. It's not like you're tanking. Granted, those Sins can jump to you, but in PVE, they won't insta-kill you. Just kite them off.

Another PVP note: Shatter Enchantment will just RUIN your day. /report griefers will, too. And most PVPers know to spike N/* and */N regardless of whether they're a MM or not. So... IMHO, stay away from PVP.

Very late response but what the heck:
You can put nothing in Blood and keep Dark Bond up always, and I doubt you have exactly no points left. Usually you can get it r1~3 Blood.

~How do you get a max of 18 minions?? As a non-Nec primary, you only get 8.

Stay away from PvP? Just play AB and you will have way more corpses than you need. With the amount of idiots and failure mobs running around in AB these days, it's kind of hard not to die as an invincible MM, of course, this doesn't go well as a Rt/N bomber since the goal is to blow up minions, now keep them alive and thus keeping you alive.

Enchant stripping would basically destroy the Invincible MM and cripple the Rt/N, but hey, like I said. Idiots in AB means you can play a 55 with SOJ as your only damage source and you will probably hit the highest kill in the game with all the idiot sins and wars thinking they can take you down before you can take them down. So I do enjoy Sins dropping in on my MM on the few occasion I feel like conquering the entire AB with my minions. The Sins usually hits 2x, realize he's taking heavy damage, tries to escape, but still ends up getting caught in the cold grip of death and turns into a Fiend 3 sec later.

You + Necro Hero = 18 minions in PVE. Sorry for the confusion. And yeah, since nobody brings a rez to AB or GVG, you can safely drop the 3 Resto feeding Flesh/Flesh and go 3 Blood. (I hate rage-quitters and rage-/reporters. I hate PVP. A lot. )

A 55 Invinci-Rit with SOJ? But then how are you Animating? Please clarify.

Just a reminder, for enchant-strip-heavy PVP or whatever, Reclaim Essence is great Energy-Management and Kill Button.

Halloween was pretty fun. Call me silly, but I actually laughed at the Mad King's jokes. Got both masks, too. Now though, I'm playing Hellgate: London, at least until the next big thing comes, it'll probably be Winterfest.

Ok, I kept quiet because LoD and Splinter Weapon nerfs make me shrug. Poor Splinter Barrage builds, right? But when they took spirits and Ranger pets away from Necros, I started laughing, calmed down, and just shook my head with pity. I'm serious, they keep this "skill balance update," and Rits WILL be the new Necros. Boon of Creation is now on par with Soul Reaping, in just about every way, especially with Animate Bone Minions.

What's next, making 10 Fiends do only as much damage as a single Henchy Ranger? Nerfing the Golem to only do as much damage as a lvl 20 tanking pet? Maybe give them a perma-Dazed effect! Or when the MM dies, all the minions only attack the party! Change their armor skins to bright pastels!

This new Soul Reaping is like Vista for Necromancers. (I guess that makes Ritualists XP, and Prophesies Necros were Linux: Once you learn2program, you were cruising solo through the game.)

If you have not noticed already, the OP was getting waaaaay too big, so I split it up into two smaller posts, with one space left for the GW2 content. It was a gamble, since we don't even know what's GW2 gonna look like, but eh. Apologies to the folks who got their posts deleted, but you will be fondly remembered, especially since they were intelligent, helpful, and full of praise. Now, to business!

Quietly laughed a few weeks ago as Spirits got burned, literally, and the Rit/N was untouched.

Minor tweakage of the Necro Hero skill bars, including one build using Signets from the Mesmer profession to further aid Energy Management.

*Inserts minor griping about all the lvl 10 noobs in GWEN. Inserts minor griping about Hellgate: London, and how the Summoner class sucks compared to GW, and to Minion Bombing especially.*
